We purchased a roll cage a few months ago from Marketplace and thought this would be a quick and easy job to fit in… Dang how wrong we were.. Mainly down to our inexperience with these things.
We couldn`t get the cage to line up, after a day or so of reaching out to suppliers (The cage was not branded) we tracked down the manufacturer and sought their advice. It would seem the seller forgot to advise us that a mounting kit would be needed. Thankfully the vendor had these already made we purchased the kit from them.
Mountain plates welded in, we then realised that we would have to remove the seat belts, no drama as we have harnesses we can use. A few resistors added to the seatbelt circuit sorted out the dash lights.
We are on the lookout now for some new harnesses that will fit to the cage and also some bucket seats..
Big shout out to all that helped with this install, mainly Mike from Autotuning and Alarms in Pontypridd who has given up his time and equipment to get this cage fitted.
Big shout out also to Josh over at JP Cages for allowing us to pester him on whatsapp with photos to get the correct mounting kit made. Give Josh a visit over at JP Cages
